Yes. Although B2B and B2C Electronic Invoicing are currently voluntary in Slovakia, the country has confirmed its intention to introduce a mandatory B2B Electronic Invoicing mandate as part of its tax digitalization strategy.
According to the expected timeline, online electronic reporting for domestic VAT transactions will begin in January 2027 for taxpayers established in Slovakia.
Slovakia will use a CIUS (Core Invoice Usage Specification) based on Peppol BIS 3 and aligned with the European standard EN 16931.
